Volunteering
On the Crisis Line.. we welcome responsible, caring women over the age of 16 to provide support, information and options on our 24/7 Crisis Line to survivors of sexual assault and others affected by sexual violence. The Crisis Line is safe and anonymous. Callers know there is a friendly and compassionate person they can talk with when they dial the Crisis Line.
Training: Volunteers must successfully complete a 30 hour training program. This extensive training includes information on Child Sexual Abuse, AIDS, and STI's, gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender issues, ritual abuse and much, much more. Mock calls are used to better prepare volunteers for answering the line by themselves.
